Prepaid recharging will be available for TAQA Gas customers through Fawry’s multiple payment channels.

23 November 2022 (Cairo, Egypt) – In line with the national approach of digitalizing collection and payment processes and reducing cash use, Fawry has announced that it is cooperating with TAQA Gas of TAQA Arabia Group, a subsidiary of Qalaa Holding, to roll out the recharge service for the prepaid gas meter cards provided by the gas company. This will be an addition to the electronic payment of gas bills, which is already available, through Fawry’s multiple digital channels. The move is aimed to create an easy and seamless payment experience for customers.

Thanks to its digital infrastructure and smart solutions, Fawry is offering TAQA Gas’ customers prepaid charging services for gas meters via the e-payment provider’s various outlets, including over 300,000 nationwide Point-Of-Sale (POS) terminals and FawryPlus branches spread across all governorates. Resident of villages and remote areas will no longer need to go to TAQA Gas main branches to recharge their gas meter prepaid cards.

The cooperation highlights Fawry’s tangible efforts to enhance the national strategy for digital transformation, particularly with regard to digitalizing the collection and payment of oil and gas companies’ dues. The agreement is also part of Fawry’s endeavors to stimulate financial inclusion, encourage cashless transactions and turn to easier methods of payment and collection.
