Fawry cooperates with Armed Forces’ DRM to facilitate fee payment

In line with the national digital transformation drive, the Department of Recruitment and Mobilization’s payments will be accepted through Fawry branches.

11 January 2022 (Cairo, Egypt) – Out of keenness to provide best services to Egyptian citizens and to optimize the digital transformation, Fawry has announced that it is expanding its cooperation with the Armed Forces’ Department of Recruitment and Mobilization. Now, payment of fees for the DRM’s website services has been made available through the widespread branches of the leading provider of electronic payment and financial technology solutions, as part of Fawry’s efforts to provide better and easier services for citizens.

Accordingly, citizens can pay any fees or payments for the services offered by the electronic gate of the DRM – like travel passes, military exemption cards, To-Whom-It-May-Concern letters – via Fawry channels, including its retail network, FawryPlus outlets and myfawry application.

“Procedures taken by Egypt to rapidly transform society into an integrated digital one has encouraged Fawry to extend its solutions to all population segments and play a central role in serving the country’s strategic sectors. Hence, Fawry is permanently engaged in bringing the latest, best in class technologies in light of the national strategy and the 2030 Vision aiming to build a digital Egypt,” said Ashraf Sabry, Fawry’s CEO.

He added that cooperation with the Armed Forces’ Department of Recruitment and Mobilization is based on a suite of Fawry’s solutions offered by various channels, which facilitates payment process and save citizens’ time and energy.

Explaining how citizens can use this service, Sabry said: “There are two ways: First, visiting the official website of the Department of Recruitment and Mobilization tagned.mod.gov.eg and choosing the desired service (a travel pass, a military exemption verification, a To-Whom-It-May-Concern letter, etc.); then a reference code is generated to be used for payment at a Fawry branch.

Another way is to simply call the DRM hotline number (15499) and give necessary data to the representative, who will in return send the caller an SMS with the request number, to be used at any Fawry branch as a reference code for payment.”
