Seif is currently the Chairman and CEO of Capital Trust – Financial and Economic Consultancy House. He has over 30 years of international and local professional banking experience as a commercial and investment banking executive. He serves as a board member in several corporations including Raya Holding, Helwan Fertilizers Company, Suez Canal Bank, Capital Trust for Consulting and Investment, in addition to representing the Ministry of Finance at the board of Egypt Air.

Seif is also the Chairman of Egyptian Railway Project & Transport Company (Ministry of Transport Company). He has served as Founder, Chairman, and Managing Director of United Bank of Egypt, and as Vice President and Director of Bank of America, London, in charge of the Europe, Middle East and Africa Banking Division for 8 years between 1987 and 1995. Seif started his banking career with Chase National Bank in 1975. Coutry was chosen to assume the job of Advisor to Minister of Finance of Egypt for Tax Administration Reform & Modernization. He was responsible for the Large Taxpayer Center and served as Executive Director of the integration project of the Egyptian Tax Authority between 2004 and 2007.
