Tarek is a seasoned executive with a strong background in the financial industry, boasting over two decades’ experience in banking, fintech, and business development. He currently serves as Fawry’s Pre-Sales & Product Management Senior Director.

Tarek previously served as the Head of Business Development, Innovation Projects, and Financial Inclusion at Credit Agricole Egypt, where he filled several managerial roles over a period of nine years. His past positions include stints as Head of IT Digital Banking and Engagement Managers, and Technical Support and System Operations Head at Credit Agricole Egypt, among others.

In his current role, Tarek drives digital payments development and supports innovative solutions that empower banks to offer superior services to clients. He actively engages with prospective customers, presenting Fawry’s services and solutions from technical and implementation perspectives.

Among his notable achievements at Fawry, Zohairy designed and launched the Money Market Fund in collaboration with CI Capital Co, spearheaded the development and launch of the Fawry PrePaid Card, initiated a new Consumer Finance product, among several others.

Tarek’s holds a B.Sc. in Commerce and Business Administration from Helwan University, and is certified in various IT systems, including Microsoft database administration tracks (2274, 2275, 2287, 2071, 2072, 2073), IBM i-Series administration, Oracle application server administration, IBM WebSphere application server administration, and Euronet ITM, CMS, and ICCS solutions.
