Alaa Abd Elgwad has been a key player in Fawry since its founding and currently serves as its Chief Product Officer. Throughout his career at Fawry, Alaa has held several important roles, including Senior Software Engineer, Team Leader, and Advisory. Prior to taking on his current position, he was Chief Software Architect.

He holds a B.Sc. in Computer Engineering and an MBA from the Arab Academy for Science, Technology, and Maritime Transport.

Alaa has extensive experience in a variety of fields, such as FinTech, eBanking, ePayment, eCommerce, Electronic Bill Presentment and Payment (EBPP) and supply chain management He has been instrumental in creating and refining technologies that improve client interaction and expedite financial transactions. His knowledge allowed him to improve efficiency of service implementation and product delivery. 

Alaa brings a wealth of experience in software development and product management, driving innovation and excellence in Fawry’s product offerings. His deep understanding of technology and market needs have significantly contributed to the company’s growth and success in the FinTech sector.
