Tanmeyah signs cooperation protocol with Fawry to facilitate e-payment for clients

The SME financier’s customers will be able to make payments throughout the week via Fawry’s various channels.

1 June 2022 (Cairo, Egypt) – Tanmeyah, a pioneering company in financing the Small and Micro Enterprises (SMEs), has revealed that it inked a joint cooperation agreement with Fawry to make electronic payment collection easier for the its customers. The signing ceremony was attended by Mr. Hossam Al-Naggar, Tanmeyah’s CEO and Managing Director, and Eng. Hossam Ezz, CEO’s Chief Commercial Officer – Enterprise Services.

Accordingly, Fawry will run the online collection process for Tnmeyah’s customers, who will be able to make payments and pay installments throughout the week without being tied to the working hours of the branches. Tanmeyah customers will benefit from Fawry’s multiple channels including 268,000 POS machines spread out all over Egypt’s governorates, 161 FawryPlus branches, and myfawry application. The deal comes in implementation of Tanmeyah’s strategy of expanding the e-payment network to facilitate transactions for existing and potential customers.
On his part, Al-Naggar expressed his pleasure for working with Fawry to facilitate the online payment for Tanmeyah’s broad customer base. “By the end of the first quarter of 2022, the number of clients amounted to 392,000 in 25 governorates across 307 branches, while portfolio value reached EGP 3.9 billion. So, the move comes in line with the company’s expansionary strategy for the coming years, which is fully compatible with the Financial Regulatory Authority’s decrees, the digitalization drive and national efforts to achieve the financial inclusion,” he added.

Meanwhile, Ezz commented that Fawry is implementing an expansion strategy in terms of collaborating with various companies from different sectors. “By assisting these companies in collecting payments electronically, we consequently contribute to achieving the digital transformation and financial inclusion goals. Additionally, the company wants to help customers make their digital payments in a smooth, easy fashion through Fawry’s various channels and solutions.”
