Welcome everyone to my first ever blog!I am really excited to kick this off and I hope that you will continue to come back and become part of our community, not only reading our views but also contributing your own views on how you see us shaping the future of bill presentment and payment in Egypt.
I am happy to state that now we can all enjoy some comfort in our daily lives as Fawry is fully live across Cairo and Alex.It is already operational across bank ATM networks and in supermarkets, grocery stores and pharmacies.People can now pay their bills using Fawry as easily as grabbing a bottle of milk from the local grocery store at anytime in any neighborhood.
Soon, as more utilities and other services that require regular bill payments become part of the Fawry network, we will no longer have to drive to payment points and stand in queues to pay bills, we no longer have to deal with nosy payment collectors knocking on our doors and we can all enjoy a little more free time to take in the good things in life! What a relief.
But really what does this all mean to us, the consumer? For a long time now, we have always marveled at how the developed countries have adopted technology to simplify and improve people’s lives. From paying public parking fees on a mobile phone to renting a new movie by ordering it online and downloading it instead of the hassle of going to a store and picking up a physical DVD which needs to be returned after a day.Technology really does improve our lives and gives us more time to do the things we want to do – time is so precious these days.
I strongly believe that Fawry is helping to bring us as a society closer to that way of life.Imagine if every single bill we had to pay on a regular basis – phones, internet, electricity, school fees, club fees, insurance bills, gym membership, car registration fees – could be paid instantly from any location and at anytime without even having a bill in your hand? It’s revolutionary when we think about it.Today, you and I can walk to the convenience store on our street, ask for our telephone bill and be presented one that is up to date with the full outstanding amount, pay for it and get a receipt for the payment right then and there. No waiting, no hassle. It’s revolutionary.
As the Fawry network grows, people will start to see more and more Fawry signs in stores, malls, banks and in their neighborhoods.Keep your eyes out for the Fawry signs in your area. When you do see a shop or bank ATM with Fawry on it, I want you to try using it to pay a bill. Then I want you to share your experience with me by joining the Facebook Group: Fawry Bill Payments I شبكة فوري لسداد الفواتير الالكترونية بمصر and let me know what you think! I would love to hear your thoughts and feedback on how Fawry made your life a little easier.
